Sometimes reaching your destination can feel like forever, especially if you’re driving on the same road or highway. Some roads are particularly long and for a good reason. Wondering what they are? We’ve found them and thing that you’ll be shocked and surprised at how long they really are.

The Pan American Highway (United States)

Did you even know this road existed? We didn’t think so! As the longest road in the entire world, The Pan American Highway is actually composed of a number of different interstate highways throughout the country. Want to know how long it really is? Just under 30,000 miles long.

Trans-Canada Highway (Canada)

Just like The Pan American Highway in the US, the Trans-Canada Highway is composed of a number of highways throughout the country. Even though it isn’t the longest, it’s still an entire 4,860 miles long, stretching through all 10 Canadian provinces.

Highway 1 (Australia) In itself, Australia is a pretty large country. In fact, it’s so large that it’s actually one of the seven continents in the world! Just shy of the number one spot, Australia’s Highway 1 is a whopping 9,009 miles long. Stretching from one side of the country to the other. Highway 1 is a conglomerate of interstate highway systems which connect a number of major cities each in each Australian state.
